Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic says the club have “a great opportunity to bring this club back” as they bid to end their 4-year absence from the top flight in the Championship play-off final, and hopes John Terry can be his opponents weakness.

Fulham visit Wembley on Saturday in football’s richest game – worth a reported £160million - and want to return to the Premier League via the play-offs, having narrowly missed out on an automatic spot.

They face Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa whose captain John Terry was under the microscope from Jokanovic, the Fulham chief believing Terry’s presence can work in his sides favour.

Jokanovic told the Evening Standard: “I expect he (Terry) can make some favour, he plays a complicated position and we are going to put against him some faster players.

“I am expecting some mistakes from his side. Obviously everyone makes mistakes and that is what I expect from him, that is all.

"They are old and tired team, I have players 17, now 18 years old, they have players 36 years old. Experience is not important, this is not tennis it is football, and in my team I have young and experienced players.

"We are now at the front of an important chance. We are going to follow our style and be confident we will cross the line.

"There is a huge job ahead of myself. It is an opportunity for a side to be part of the best league in the world."

Fulham were narrowly pipped for automatic promotion by Neil Warnock's surprise package Cardiff City, who returned to the Premier League having being relegated along with 'The Whites' in 2014.

But following their disappointing final day defeat to Birmingham, they managed to pick themselves up and overturn a first leg deficit to prevail 2-1, with Ryan Sessegnon and Denis Odoi raising the Craven Cottage roof.

It has all the makings to be a classic Wembley encounter, with the match now just days away.
